Admission

Admission to Gateway Academy is a structured and supportive process designed to ensure each student’s success from day one. Students are referred through the Forsyth County Schools tribunal process and must complete a Gateway Academy application to be considered for enrollment.

Before beginning classes, all students and their families participate in a mandatory orientation to learn about program expectations, daily routines, and available supports. During this time, students meet with administrators, counselors, and support staff to discuss academic goals, behavioral expectations, and individualized success plans.

This collaborative approach helps set a strong foundation for a smooth transition into Gateway’s learning environment—one focused on growth, accountability, and opportunity.
